Enchanted Storybook Castle

The Enchanted Storybook Castle, the iconic centerpiece of Shanghai Disneyland, opened on June 16, 2016, and is the tallest Disney castle worldwide. Inspired by classic Disney castles, it celebrates all Disney princesses and features a walkthrough attraction, a character dining restaurant, and a boat-themed ride. A unique peony flower sculpture crowns the tallest tower, symbolizing Shanghai and embodying the park's motto: 'Authentically Disney, distinctly Chinese.' The castle's design involved innovative collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and various partners, showcasing cutting-edge architectural technology and a commitment to redefining themed entertainment.
