San Diego Museum of Art (Balboa Park)

The San Diego Museum of Art was founded in 1926 and is located on El Prado in Balboa Park. Its permanent collection includes European old master paintings as well as 19th- and 20th-century American and European works. The museum regularly mounts temporary exhibitions and public education programs for the San Diego region.
