Stagg Hall

Stagg Hall is a historic house located in Port Tobacco, Maryland, built around 1766 by merchant Thomas Howe Ridgate. This two-story frame house is situated near the former town square and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The property has a rich history, having changed hands several times, including ownership by Mary Lucilla Barbour in 1903 and later by her son William Edgar Barbour. In 2013, the Charles County Government acquired Stagg Hall, preserving its legacy as a significant piece of Maryland's history.
