Volunteer Park Conservatory

The Volunteer Park Conservatory is a 1912 Victorian-style greenhouse constructed of wood and glass and sited within Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill. It was built to display exotic and temperate plant collections and remains one of the city's surviving historic glasshouse structures. The conservatory has undergone preservation work to maintain its original greenhouse form and plant-housing functions for public enjoyment.
