Low Memorial Library (Columbia University)

Low Memorial Library, designed by McKim, Mead & White and completed in 1897, originally served as Columbia University's main library and is distinguished by its large dome and neoclassical portico. The building now houses university administrative offices while remaining an architectural and ceremonial focal point of Columbia's Morningside Heights campus. Its Great Steps and rotunda have been used for public ceremonies and student gatherings since the late 19th century.
