Japanese Tea Garden (Golden Gate Park)

The Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park, established in 1894 and later redesigned for the 1894 Midwinter Exposition, is the oldest public Japanese garden in the United States. The garden includes winding paths, arched wooden bridges, stone lanterns, a pagoda, koi ponds, and a traditional tea house that serves visitors. It has been preserved and restored over time and functions as both a horticultural display and a cultural landmark within the park.
