Durango Fish Hatchery

The Durango Fish Hatchery, established in 1903, is the oldest state-owned hatchery in Colorado, located near the scenic Animas River. This cold water fish production facility raises various trout species, including rainbow, brown, Snake River, and native cutthroat trout, as well as kokanee salmon.
