ENIAC - first general-purpose electronic digital computer

ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) was developed at the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and is widely recognized as the first general-purpose electronic digital computer. Construction was completed in 1945 and ENIAC was publicly unveiled in February 1946. It was used to perform ballistic trajectory calculations and later other scientific computations, marking a foundational moment in electronic computing history.
