The Storey

The Storey, a historic multi-purpose building in Lancaster, England, was constructed between 1887 and 1891 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. Funded by local businessman Thomas Storey, it originally served as the Storey Institute, promoting art, science, and literature. Designed in Jacobean Revival style, the building features a striking turret and stained glass windows. Over the years, it has housed various institutions, including the City Art Gallery and Lancaster College of Art. In the early 21st century, it was transformed into a vibrant space for small businesses, galleries, and workshops, making it a cultural hub for visitors and locals alike.
