West Point headland at Discovery Park

West Point is the western headland of Discovery Park and offers unobstructed bluff and shoreline views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and marine traffic entering Elliott Bay. The West Point Lighthouse and nearby interpretive areas are located on the park's promontory, which is reached by trails through forest and meadow. As Seattle's largest city park, Discovery Park's headland viewpoints are more natural and often less crowded than urban overlooks.
