Cherkley Court

Cherkley Court is a stunning late Victorian neo-classical mansion located in Leatherhead, Surrey, England, set within a sprawling 370-acre estate. Originally built in the 1860s for metal goods exporter Abraham Dixon, it became the residence of Canadian press baron Lord Beaverbrook in 1910, who hosted numerous notable guests including Winston Churchill and H.G. Wells. After a period of disrepair, the estate was restored and opened to the public in 2007, featuring beautiful gardens and woodland walks. In recent years, it has been transformed into the 'Beaverbrook', a luxurious 5-star hotel and private leisure estate, alongside a golf course that opened in 2016.
