Liberty Hall (Quakertown, Pennsylvania)

Liberty Hall is a historic building located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, recognized for its colonial Quaker architectural style. Built in 1772, it was the first permanent residence in the area and features a simple two-story design made of native fieldstone. Notably, it is said that the Liberty Bell was hidden on the property overnight in 1777 to protect it from British capture. The building served as a residence until 1805, after which it was used for various purposes before being purchased by the borough in 1977 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
