Keerl–Decker House

The Keerl–Decker House, located in Mason City, Iowa, is a historic residence designed by architect E.R. Bogardus and completed in 1902. This two-story structure features a grand front porch with Ionic columns and a distinctive hip roof with dormers. Originally built for Irving Keerl, a prominent local figure, the house later became associated with the Decker family, known for their meat packing business. In the 1970s, it was transformed into a restaurant and has since evolved into a charming bed and breakfast. Recognized for its historical significance, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
