Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library (Mies van der Rohe design)

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library at 901 G St NW opened in 1972 and was designed by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It is the only public library in the United States designed by Mies. The building underwent a major renovation and modernization and reopened to the public in 2020 with updated public spaces and services.
