Boston Common (oldest public park)

Boston Common was established in 1634 and is recognized as the oldest city park in the United States. Originally used for common grazing and military drills, it has long functioned as a central public green space in Boston and is the traditional starting point of the Freedom Trail. The Common continues to host civic gatherings, public ceremonies, and seasonal events.
