Moberly Junior High School

Moberly Junior High School, located at 101 N Johnson Street in Moberly, Missouri, is a historic site recognized for its architectural significance and educational history. Built in 1929, the main building features a distinctive H-shape and Art Deco design. The site includes a rear auditorium wing constructed in 1917, which was part of a previous school that was lost to fire. Although the auditorium and gymnasium wing were demolished in 2018, the school was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. Currently, renovations are underway to transform the historic building into a senior living community, offering 40 units, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers alike.
