Burke Museum archaeological collections

The Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture at the University of Washington houses one of the largest archaeological collections in the Pacific Northwest, holding millions of objects from Indigenous and historic-era sites across Washington. The museum serves as the repository and curator for many UW-led and statewide archaeological projects and provides conservation, research, and storage for those collections. Burke staff conduct archaeological research and collaborate with tribal partners on curation and repatriation efforts.
