Brown Building (Morgantown, West Virginia)

The Brown Building, also known as the Ream Building, is a historic commercial structure in Morgantown, West Virginia, designed by architect Elmer F. Jacobs in 1898. This four-story eclectic brick building features a flat roof, a projecting cornice, and distinctive polychromatic brick detailing. Notable architectural elements include a ball finial and a triad of double-sash windows. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and is situated within the Downtown Morgantown Historic District, which was established in 1996.
