Portlandia (Portland Building)

Portlandia is a copper repoussé sculpture by Raymond Kaskey installed above the main entrance of the Portland Building in 1985. The figure, a female personification of the city, is widely cited as the second-largest copper repoussé sculpture in the United States after the Statue of Liberty. The work has undergone periodic conservation and is a prominent civic landmark visible from SW 5th Avenue and surrounding downtown streets.
