Mapparium at the Mary Baker Eddy Library

The Mapparium is a three-story walk-in stained-glass globe installed inside the Mary Baker Eddy Library on the Christian Science Plaza. Constructed in the 1930s, the Mapparium lets visitors walk along an interior catwalk to view a world map rendered on glass panels, showing political boundaries as they existed when it was created. The installation is accessed through the library's museum entrance and is a less-visible attraction compared with typical Back Bay sites.
