Mission San Francisco de Asís (Mission Dolores) - Oldest Surviving Building

Founded in 1776, Mission San Francisco de Asís (commonly called Mission Dolores) contains the small adobe 'Old Mission' chapel that is the oldest surviving structure in San Francisco. The site includes a basilica built later and a historic cemetery, and it remains an active parish. Its combination of 18th-century adobe construction and continuous use as a religious site is unique within the city.
