Ethiopian Parliament Building

The Ethiopian Parliament building, located in the heart of Addis Ababa, serves as the assembly place for the Federal Parliamentary Assembly of Ethiopia. Built in the early 1930s, it originally housed the Imperial Parliament and features a central hall flanked by chambers for the Senate and Chamber of Deputies. Notable architectural elements include a clock and flag tower, and a main gate adorned with lions. Although the building underwent changes after the monarchy, it remains a significant historical site. A new parliament building, designed to symbolize the Negarit drums, is set to enhance the parliamentary complex, reflecting Ethiopia's rich cultural heritage.
