L. B. King and Company Building

The L. B. King and Company Building, located at 1274 Library Street in Detroit, Michigan, is a historic commercial structure known for its architectural significance and rich history. Completed in 1911, it was originally designed as the headquarters for L. B. King and Company, a prominent china wholesaler. The building later housed Annis Furs, a notable furrier, until 1983. With its striking six-story design featuring white terra cotta cladding and an elaborate Italian Renaissance cornice, the building exemplifies early twentieth-century Commercial architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1987, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in Detroit's commercial heritage.
