Bullitt Center - Living Building Challenge commercial headquarters

Opened in 2013, the Bullitt Center was built to meet the Living Building Challenge and has been described as one of the world’s most sustainable office buildings. The six-story wood-and-glass structure incorporates rainwater harvesting, composting toilets, a solar array sized to produce its annual energy needs, and a durable timber frame sourced to minimize embodied carbon. Its design intentionally eliminates fossil-fuel heating and emphasizes occupant health and long-term performance.
