Tianmu White House

The Tianmu White House is a historical site located in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan, originally built in the 1950s to accommodate US Armed Forces during the Korean War. After a period of decline post-US military departure, local advocacy led to its preservation, and it was designated a historical site in 2005. The house showcases a unique blend of American suburban architecture with Western, Chinese, and Japanese influences. It was repainted white in 2006 for a film shoot and opened to the public in 2016, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in Taiwan's history and architecture.
