Pyburn House

Pyburn House, located at 203 Fourth Street in Lovington, New Mexico, is a historic building constructed between 1935 and 1937. Known for its unique Folk architecture, it was built by John Wesley Pyburn, who served as the local school superintendent during a time of rapid growth in the area. Originally intended as a family home and boarding house for teachers, the house reflects the community's educational development. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 and is notable for its connection to Ethel Pyburn, who managed the boarding house until her passing in 1986 at the age of 96.
