Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (historic Paramount Theatre)

Opened in 1928 as the Paramount Theatre, the building features an ornate interior and lavish atmospheric design typical of large movie palaces of the era. It was restored and renamed Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hall serves as a major performing arts venue in Portland and is the primary home of the Oregon Symphony and numerous touring performances. Its marquee and interior architecture are among the city's most recognizable historic theater features.
