Binna Burra (lodge)

Binna Burra is a historic mountain lodge located within Lamington National Park in Queensland, Australia, known for its commitment to ecotourism and environmental protection. Established in 1933, it was one of the first nature-based resorts in Australia and has been recognized for its sustainability efforts, including being the first commercial accommodation in the country to receive Green Globe Certification. The lodge is surrounded by stunning rainforests, part of the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests, and offers a variety of bushwalking trails designed for all levels of hikers. After being devastated by bushfires in 2019, Binna Burra reopened to the public in 2020, with plans for redevelopment underway, making it a significant drawcard for tourists seeking nature experiences in the Scenic Rim region.
