Austin Police Department Missing Persons Unit

The Austin Police Department's Missing Persons Unit and Violent Crimes Division investigate kidnapping and abduction cases within city limits and coordinate with neighboring jurisdictions when cases cross boundaries. APD publishes missing-person alerts and case information through its public communications to aid investigations. The unit operates out of the department's downtown headquarters.
