Noxontown

Noxontown is a historic site near Middletown, Delaware, featuring a collection of structures from a former country mill and village. Established around 1740 by Thomas Noxon, the site includes a distinctive 2+1⁄2-story brick house and an earlier frame mill, which served as a vital trading and milling hub during the Colonial era. The mill operated as a merchant mill until 1855 and later transitioned to a custom mill. Recognized for its historical significance, Noxontown was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is currently owned by St. Andrew's School, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
