Anker Palace

Anker Palace, located in the vibrant Terézváros district of Budapest, is an architectural gem completed in 1910 by the renowned architect Ignác Alpár. Originally built for the Anker Life and Pension Company, this eclectic-style building features striking Doric columns on its facade and two elegant statues of women on the roof. It overlooks Deák Ferenc Square, making it a prominent landmark. Additionally, the nearby Anker Köz alley adds charm to the area, which was home to the Galileo Circle from 1910 to 1919. Notable residents include the famous Hungarian comedian Geza Hofi and the psychologist Léopold Szondi, adding to the building's rich cultural history.
