222 Jarvis Street is a notable office building located in Toronto, Ontario, designed in the Brutalist style by architect Maxwell Miller and completed in 1971. Originally serving as the head office for Sears Canada, this ten-storey structure features an inverted-pyramid shape and is constructed from pre-cast concrete with a dark brown brick veneer. In 2007, the building was sold to the Ontario Realty Corporation and underwent significant renovations aimed at achieving LEED Gold status, showcasing its potential for retrofitting to reduce carbon footprints. The renovation included a new glass atrium, a skylight, and various green initiatives such as a green roof and solar panels.
