Tranby House

Tranby House, also known as Peninsula Farm, is a historic English cottage-style farmhouse located in Maylands, Western Australia, overlooking the Swan River. Built in 1839, it is one of the oldest surviving buildings from the early settlement of the Swan River Colony and is associated with the Wesleyan Methodist community led by Joseph Hardey. The house features authentic 19th-century furnishings and is surrounded by trees believed to have been planted by the Hardey family. After extensive restoration, it was opened to the public in 1977 and remains a popular tourist attraction with tearooms, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's rich history.
