Romney's House

Romney's House, located at 5 Holly Bush Hill in Hampstead, London, is a Grade I listed building that once served as the home of the renowned portrait painter George Romney and later the architect Clough Williams-Ellis. Originally designed by Samuel Bunce in the late 18th century, the house features a symmetrical façade and was built on the site of former stables. Romney transformed the property into a studio and gallery, while Williams-Ellis remodeled it into a private residence and architectural office in the 20th century. Today, part of the house operates as a public house, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich artistic history and architectural evolution.
