USS Midway Museum (aircraft carrier installation)

The USS Midway Museum is a museum ship on the aircraft carrier USS Midway, permanently moored at Navy Pier in downtown San Diego. Commissioned in 1945 and decommissioned in 1992, the ship displays a collection of more than 60 restored aircraft installed on its flight deck and in hangar bays. The museum opened in 2004 and includes interactive exhibits and restored shipboard spaces interpreting U.S. naval aviation history.
