Anhalt Hall

Anhalt Hall is a historic dance hall and community center located in Comal County, Texas, originally built in 1879 by German settlers. It served as a protective structure against cattle rustlers and Native American threats and later became a rest stop on the trail between New Braunfels and Boerne. The Hall features a large dance floor added in 1908 and has hosted numerous performances, including those by country music legends like George Strait. Annual events such as Maifest and Oktoberfest attract visitors, and the Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018, making it a notable destination for tourists and researchers interested in Texas history and culture.
