Chateau Colline

Chateau Colline is a historic eight-unit apartment building located on Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood, Los Angeles, designed by architect Percy Parke Lewis and built in 1935. Its castle-like appearance features leaded-glass windows, turrets, and climbing vines, along with large wood-burning fireplaces and vaulted ceilings. The building has a rich history, rumored to have hosted Hollywood legends like Clark Gable and Bette Davis. In 2001, efforts led by tenants and the Los Angeles Conservancy successfully designated it as a historic landmark, preserving its unique architectural charm and cultural significance. It was officially recognized as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2001 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in Los Angeles history.
