High Line public-art program

The High Line’s public-art program commissions rotating, site-specific installations and performances along the elevated park, administered by Friends of the High Line through the High Line Art initiative. Since the park’s first section opened in 2009, the program has presented temporary large-scale sculptures, sound works, and landscape-integrated installations tailored to the park’s linear, elevated site. Works are sited at defined segments of the High Line and are often accompanied by interpretive materials and public programming.
