Kraszewski House

The Kraszewski House is a historic neoclassical building located at 48 Mokotowska Street in Warsaw, Poland. Constructed in 1860, it served as the residence of renowned writer Józef Ignacy Kraszewski, who published notable works while living there. The house has a rich history, having been owned by various prominent figures, including businessman Leopold Stanisław Kronenberg and physician Tytus Chałubiński. Surviving World War II largely intact, it became a cultural hub in 1957 when it housed the student club Hybrydy. Today, it is recognized as the oldest building on Mokotowska Street and features commemorative plaques honoring its notable residents.
