Hazelwood House, Glasgow

Hazelwood House is a historic B listed building in Glasgow, designed in the Arts and Crafts style and built in 1882. Located in the suburb of Dumbreck near Bellahouston Park, it was one of the first homes in the city to feature internal electrical wiring. The house has a rich history, serving as a Red Cross Hospital during World War I and later as a home for retired nurses. Today, it functions as a religious retreat and conference center, hosting public events like Christmas carol concerts. Visitors can explore its beautiful architecture, including symmetrical bay windows and a Tudor arch, as well as its extensive gardens during special walking tours in September.
