Old South Meeting House (site of the Boston Tea Party meeting)

Old South Meeting House was the assembly place where colonists gathered on December 16, 1773 to debate and ultimately disperse to carry out the Boston Tea Party. Colonial leaders including Samuel Adams and other members of the Sons of Liberty used the meeting house as a locus for organizing protest against the Tea Act. The building now operates as a museum and education center about its role in revolutionary-era Boston.
