Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library

The Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library contains President Johnson's presidential papers, recorded tapes of his administration, and an exhibit-level replica of the Oval Office as it appeared during his presidency. The library presents permanent and temporary exhibitions on the 1960s, civil rights, and the Great Society initiatives and serves as an archival research center. It opened in the early 1970s and is part of the federal presidential library system.
