Nazarbaug Palace

Nazarbaug Palace, located in Vadodara, Gujarat, was the royal palace of the Gaekwad family, built in 1871 in an Italian-Renaissance style. Known for its classic architecture and beautiful gardens, it served as a ceremonial venue and treasury for royal heirlooms, including the famous Pearl Carpet of Baroda and valuable jewels. Unfortunately, the palace fell into disrepair and was demolished in 2014, replaced by a shopping mall. Despite its loss, the palace remains a significant part of Vadodara's history, attracting interest from tourists and researchers alike.
