Boston Conservatory - founded 1867; merged with Berklee

The Boston Conservatory was founded in 1867 as a performing-arts school focusing on music, dance, and theater. In 2016 it merged with Berklee College of Music to form Boston Conservatory at Berklee while maintaining Conservatory degree programs. The Conservatory's Fenway location has been a longtime center for classical and contemporary music training in Boston.
