Batería de la Reina

The Batería de la Reina was a colonial military defense fortress in Havana, Cuba, constructed between 1856 and 1861. This impressive structure housed a garrison of 250 men and featured a 44-gun battery strategically positioned to protect the coastline. Although it was demolished in 1901, its historical significance remains, as it was part of a network of fortifications that included the Santa Clara Battery and Castillo de la Punta. Today, the site is located within the Antonio Maceo park, offering visitors a glimpse into Cuba's colonial past.
