Estrugamou Building

The Estrugamou Building is a notable residential structure located in the Retiro area of Buenos Aires, commissioned in 1924 by Alejandro Estrugamou, a prominent landowner. Designed by architects Eduardo Sauze and August Huguier, it features an eclectic style influenced by French Baroque and Second Empire architecture. Inaugurated in 1929, the building is known for its luxurious details, including imported decorative elements and Slavonian oak flooring. It has served as a residence for many notable figures, including Carlos Gardel and Domingo Cavallo, and is recognized as a symbol of glamour and diplomacy in the city.
