Teackle Mansion

The Teackle Mansion, located in Princess Anne, Maryland, is a historic estate built between 1802 and 1819 for Littleton Dennis Teackle and his wife Elizabeth. This remarkable example of Neoclassical architecture features distinctive design elements and well-preserved 19th-century period rooms. Today, it serves as the home of the Somerset County Historical Society and was recognized for its historical significance by being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. The mansion is also referenced in the novel The Entailed Hat by George Alfred Townsend, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers.
