Community Place

Community Place, located in Skaneateles, New York, is a historic site built in 1830. It was part of a successful Fourierist commune known as Skaneateles Community for three years. The site was photographed by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1963 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Today, it is referred to as Frog Pond and is situated south of Skaneateles Falls at 680 Sheldon Road, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers interested in early communal living and American history.
