Conservatory of Flowers (Victorian greenhouse)

The Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park was completed in 1879 and is one of the oldest remaining wood-and-glass Victorian conservatories in North America. Its ornate, timber-and-glass greenhouse structure exemplifies 19th-century greenhouse engineering and Victorian ornamentation. The building has undergone multiple conservation and repair campaigns to address structural deterioration and storm damage while retaining its historic form and botanical collections.
