Pari Mahal

Pari Mahal, meaning 'palace of fairies', is a stunning seven-terraced Mughal garden located atop the Zabarwan mountain range, offering breathtaking views of Srinagar and Dal Lake. Built in the mid-1600s by Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Emperor Shah Jahan, this garden showcases exquisite Islamic architecture with arched doorways, terraced gardens, and intricate water channels. Originally a library and learning center, it has a rich history, having served various purposes over the years, including a secret interrogation center. Today, it stands as a popular tourist attraction, celebrated for its beauty and historical significance, and has been featured in several films.
